Think Like A Man’ Scores at #1

Whoever doubted the Steve Harvey adapted film ‘ Think Like a Man’ must be kicking themselves now. The film featuring an array of popular celebrities, such as Taraji P. Henson, Lala Anthony, Chris Brown, Meagan Good, Kevin Hart, Terrance J, Michael Ealy, among others – sold an astounding 33 million at the box office this past weekend. Having been produced with a very small budget - a little over 13 million – the film surpassed many expectations. With very little media promotion, it’s great to see a film with mostly African American actors be so successful. Hopefully, this will show Hollywood producers and studios that a movie of this genre is worth the investment.

To Be or Not to Be... A Baby Mama

The Twitter beef that was going on between Royce and her boyfriend's baby mama, got me to thinking about the choice of whether to become a baby mama or not. Reading the information regarding what went down between Royce and her boyfriend's baby mama made me think about something I've always felt. I refuse to be a baby mama. I always use protection and will continue to use protection, until I am a married woman.

Black Women on Reality TV

It seems like the trend these days is Reality TV.  And the biggest trend that Reality TV created is women fighting on TV.  It seems though that a lot of people believe that its only black women fighting on TV and a lot of people have issues with it.  First off, that’s not true, there are white women that fight on TV, but there fights are kind of boring, I’ve tried watching the other Real Housewives and the only ones besides Atlanta that I like is New Jersey, those chicks are awesome.  I have to say, I’m quite excited for the new season of Real Housewives of New Jersey.  But I want to ask why?  Why is there such an issue with women of any race going on TV and making money to fight?
